TOYS“R”US, INC. BUNDLED IN HOPE® CAMPAIGN RAISES MORE THAN $900,000 TO SUPPORT SAVE THE CHILDREN’S WORK IN THE UNITED STATES

Partnership Helps Distribute Tens of Thousands of Blankets and Provide Ongoing Support for Infants in Need Across the Country

Wayne, NJ (August 3, 2010) – Toys“R”Us, Inc. today announced that it raised more than $900,000 during its Bundled in Hope® campaign benefiting Save the Children, a leading humanitarian aid agency creating lasting change in the lives of children in need. This comprehensive awareness and fundraising campaign collected monetary contributions from customers at Toys“R”Us® and Babies“R”Us® stores and online at Toysrus.com/BundledinHope, as well as through an online auction of celebrity-designed baby blankets. All donations will be directed to Save the Children to purchase blankets for babies in need in the United States and provide early childhood development programs to families in some of the most impoverished communities in the United States. To kickoff the 2010 campaign, the Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund provided a $250,000 grant to Save the Children.

“Through the generosity of our customers and support from our employees, the 2010 Bundled in Hope campaign raised much needed funds to provide basic services for little ones facing poverty in our country,” said Jerry Storch, Chairman and CEO, Toys“R”Us, Inc. “Children are at the heart of our brand and this partnership with Save the Children ensures that those who need help most will not go without the simple warmth of a blanket or other essentials.”

Over the past two years, Save the Children has received more than $2.5 million in contributions from the Bundled in Hope campaign, allowing Save the Children to purchase tens of thousands of blankets for distribution and provide ongoing support to underprivileged infants in homes and hospitals across the country. Now, even more young children, from Appalachia to Southern California, will receive basic services necessary to support their growth and long-term success.

“The Bundled in Hope campaign has provided essential resources to help ensure healthy growth and development for children in their crucial first five years of life,” said Mark Shriver, Senior Vice President, Save the Children’s U.S. programs. “Thanks to the leadership of Toys“R”Us and the generosity of their customers nationwide, Save the Children can continue to give our country’s youngest citizens a solid foundation for success in life.”

In addition to donations made at Toys“R”Us and Babies“R”Us stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com/BundledinHope, the 2010 Bundled in Hope campaign included a dedicated website with extensive information about the program. Visitors to the site were able to view photos of Save the Children distributing baby blankets to women and their children, find information about including Bundled in Hope on an “R”Us baby registry and an online auction of celebrity-designed baby blankets. Celebrity moms, including Laila Ali, Blythe Danner, Joely Fisher, Faith Hill, Regina King, Constance Marie, Idina Menzel, Cynthia Rowley and Kelly Rutherford, all participated in the campaign by designing one-of-a-kind blankets that were available for auction on eBay.com. One hundred percent of each winning bid from the auction was directed to Save the Children.

Throughout the campaign, both Save the Children and Toys“R”Us, Inc. shared information about the campaign via social networking sites. Visitors who were not already members of the official Babies“R”Us Facebook fan page were introduced to the campaign with a dedicated Bundled in Hope landing page. Through the Babies“R”Us Facebook and Twitter pages, the company was able to share with fans, donors and consumers information about the campaign and the launch of different celebrity-designed baby blankets.

Historically, Toys“R”Us, Inc. and the Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund together have provided product and monetary donations totaling more than $4.7 million to aid in Save the Children’s efforts to help protect children, including ensuring their safety in shelters and at community recovery sites during times of disaster.
