TOYS“R”US CHILDREN’S FUND INCREASES DONATION TO SAVE THE CHILDREN TO A TOTAL OF $1 MILLION FOR CRISIS RELIEF IN JAPAN

WAYNE, NJ - (March 25, 2011) – The Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund has made an additional donation of $500,000 to Save the Children, bringing the Fund’s total contribution to $1 million to support the organization’s relief efforts for children and families impacted by the crisis in Japan.

Save the Children is a global humanitarian organization that has worked in Japan for 25 years. The organization recently reassessed the most urgent care needs for children and families affected by the disaster and, as a result, raised its initial appeal for donations from $5 million to $20 million. Given the growing impact of this crisis on vulnerable children and their families, the Fund’s $1 million contribution will enable the organization to provide necessary supplies, support and care to the children who are suffering or distressed as a result of this disaster.

Toys“R”Us, Inc., a global organization with stores in 34 countries and jurisdictions, has more than 8,000 employees and 167 stores in Japan.
