Set Play Free!

With playtime for kids diminishing,
we’re partnering with Nickelodeon to play outside the box

As kids continue to have less and less free time between juggling school, soccer practice and violin lessons, it’s important now more than ever to give a little and let the kids run wild – with play that is.

We’ve teamed up with Nickelodeon to help bring slime-filled events, a toy sweepstakes and more for kids and families nationwide this summer leading up to Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play on September 30. P.S. that means shut off the TV, power down the cell phones and tablets and get outside and play!

Toys“R”Us is also helping during the month of August, as five Toys“R”Us stores will host “Time to Play” events. Think giant inflatables, slime-tanks, obstacle courses and more. Full deets are listed below, but #countmein!

  • Saturday, August 12: Toys“R”Us Mesquite (2100 N. Town East Boulevard, Mesquite, TX)
  • Saturday, August 19: Toys“R”Us/Babies“R”Us Castleton (8250 Castleton Corner, Indianapolis, IN)
  • Saturday, August 26: Toys“R”Us Totowa (445 US Highway 46, Totowa, NJ)
  • Sunday, August 27: Toys“R”Us/Babies“R”Us Bay Parkway (8973-95 Bay Parkway, Brooklyn, NY)
  • Saturday, September 9: Toys“R”Us Brandon (330 Brandon Town Center Drive, Brandon, FL) - Postponed!

But that’s not all – beginning in September, kids will have a chance to win some of the hottest toys of the summer through the “Free Play of the Week” Sweepstakes at Toys“R”Us stores nationwide. Sign up is super easier (more to come!) and weekly prizes include some of our fav NERF and Barbie items – and more, we couldn’t give it ALL away!

Parents: don’t let the boredom plague infect your children – help us (and our friends at Nickelodeon) take play time back…for good.
