TOYS“R”US, INC. EXPANDS “PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE” TO INCLUDE PRICING FROM ONLINE RETAILERS IN ADVANCE OF THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON
Company Will Match Prices from Walmart.com, Target.com, BestBuy.com, buybuyBaby.com, Amazon.com and More on Items Available in Its Stores, Extending Its Ongoing Policy of Matching Competitors’ In-Store Advertised Prices
WAYNE, NJ (August 21, 2013) – Toys“R”Us, Inc. today announced that it has enhanced its “Price Match Guarantee” on items available in its Toys“R”Us® and Babies“R”Us® stores nationwide to include selected online retailer pricing, removing any doubt before holiday shopping begins in earnest that customers are receiving the best available prices. As part of this enhancement, the company will match online pricing from Walmart.com, Target.com, BestBuy.com, Sears.com, Kmart.com, buybuyBaby.com, Meijer.com, FredMeyer.com, diapers.com, BabyDepot.com and Amazon.com* on in-store purchases of identical items.
Expanding Price Match Guarantee to include pricing from online retailers further strengthens the company’s ongoing policy of matching competitors’ in-store pricing on identical items when a shopper presents a local retailer’s current, valid print advertisement. The company will also continue to match Toysrus.com and Babiesrus.com pricing in its stores, except in the instance of online-only prices.

Price Match is given at the time of checkout. Customers also have the opportunity to receive a price adjustment retroactively at an “R”Us® store if a purchased item is advertised at a lower price at a local competitor within seven days of their original purchase, as long as they have a valid receipt. The difference will be returned to the customer in the same form of payment in which the original purchase was made.
Prices are matched after deducting any Toys“R”Us coupons and all other offers from the price. In addition, shipping charges are calculated and factored into the cost of a competitor’s online price before a price match is completed. Other restrictions apply.**

**Items known to be out of stock or available in limited quantities will be excluded from the company’s Price Match Guarantee. Category offers, “Buy One, Get One” offers, gifts with purchase, percent off discounts and doorbuster items are also excluded. Price Match Guarantee will not be available on Thanksgiving or Black Friday. When two or more of the same item are purchased, Price Match will be limited to two of those items.
The company will not match any online items from Sunday, November 17 through Cyber Monday, November 25, due to exclusive holiday deals offered during this timeframe. Toys“R”Us will not honor competitor advertisements and websites with typographical pricing errors, or online third-party “marketplace” pricing. Clearance, closeout, limited time online offers, damaged product, used, refurbished, open packages or liquidation sales are also excluded.
